About Me
My Journey Toward Becoming a Therapist
My path to becoming a therapist continues to be shaped by my own experiences of healing and growth. Therapy played a transformative role in my life, offering trusted support, resilience, and new possibilities.
Because of this, I feel called to give back by walking alongside others as they move through challenges and toward meaningful change. I meet clients where they are, sometimes that means taking big steps, and other times, gentle baby steps forward. My own life journey has deepened my empathy and shaped the way I hold space for others, with compassion, curiosity, and hope. Although my children may argue, this is especially true in the roles I have within my blended family, as a wife and mom to seven children.
My Approach: Rooted in Relationships and Values
I practice from a trauma-informed, relational, and attachment-focused lens, helping clients view their struggles not as personal failings, but as patterns of relationship with themselves and others that can be explored and reshaped. I believe that when we become curious about the challenges that bring us into therapy, we create space for growth and new responses. Many of my interventions integrate creative, experiential, and mindfulness-based practices to foster awareness, regulation, and connection.
I love to work with individuals, couples and families. I view my clients as the experts of their own lives and collaborate with them to uncover what is working, what isn’t, and what might shift. By anchoring therapy in values, I help clients live with greater congruence and alignment, while also opening space for fresh perspectives and new possibilities.
Sessions Are Collaborative and Goal-Oriented
Clients often describe my style as warm, direct, and infused with a little humor, fun and lightness. I deeply value the process of therapy and feel honored to share in the courage it takes to pursue change.
My goal is not to keep people in therapy indefinitely, but to empower them with the insight, tools, and confidence they need to navigate life’s challenges on their own. I see therapy as a collaborative partnership, one that supports clients in living fully, knowing they can always return for support whenever it’s needed.
Lastly, a word of encouragement… Imagine that tonight, while you’re asleep, a miracle takes place. When you wake up tomorrow, the challenges that brought you to therapy are resolved.
What would be different?
What would that feel and look like in your life?
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming for many reasons, but wherever you are on your journey, it’s never too early and never too late to start. This is your opportunity, for yourself and your family, to move beyond simply surviving and step into a life where you can truly thrive.
You don’t have to do it alone. Together, we can work toward making that “miracle” a reality.
As my children would say, “we’ve got this, let’s go!”
