Parental Fitness Evaluations

Our role is therapeutic, not evaluative.
Kane Counseling Services provides therapeutic support for families experiencing high-conflict divorce, co-parenting challenges, strained family relationships, and the emotional impact divorce can have on children and parents.
We focus on helping family members improve communication, reduce conflict, strengthen relationships where appropriate, and support the emotional well-being of the children involved.
What Court-Involved Therapy is — and Isn't
Our clinicians provide therapy, not legal decisions.
Court-involved therapy has different confidentiality expectations than traditional therapy. When required, therapists may share appropriate information about attendance, participation, progress, safety, or therapeutic recommendations with authorized legal professionals.
We do not
Conduct custody evaluations
Determine custody or parent-time
Provide legal advice
Advocate for one parent's legal position
Use therapy sessions to negotiate legal disputes
