Young Adult Therapy
You’re not a kid anymore — but adulthood didn’t come with a manual.

You’re expected to make big decisions, manage stress, build relationships, and figure out who you are — often all at once. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure about your next steps, you’re not alone.

At Kane Counseling Services, we provide individual therapy for young adults ages 18–25, helping you navigate this in-between stage with support, clarity, and tools that actually work.

Students Talking Outdoors

Young adult therapy at Kane Counseling Services supports individuals ages 18–25 who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, and the pressures of early adulthood, with in-person sessions and telehealth available.

Therapy may be a good fit if you’re a young adult who is experiencing:
  • Anxiety, overthinking, or constant pressure

  • Depression, low motivation, or emotional numbness

  • College or career stress

  • Feeling “behind” compared to peers

  • Identity questions or confidence struggles

  • Relationship challenges or boundary issues

  • Difficulty adjusting to independence or adult responsibilities

  • Major transitions (college, moves, breakups, first jobs, returning home)

You don’t need to be in crisis to start therapy.

Many young adults come simply because life feels harder than it should.

Our therapists work with young adults on concerns including:
  • Anxiety and stress management

  • Depression and mood changes

  • Life transitions and decision-making

  • Self-esteem and identity development

  • Relationship and communication challenges

  • Family dynamics and changing roles

  • Trauma, loss, or past experiences impacting the present

Therapy is individualized — we focus on your goals, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
