About the event
This class helps parents understand how divorce can affect their children’s mental and emotional well-being, especially when family boundaries become blurred. It introduces the concept of enmeshment—when children feel overly responsible for a parent’s emotions—which can create long-term emotional strain and make it harder for them to develop healthy, independent relationships.
To create a safe and focused environment, this course is offered in gender-specific groups.
Mothers attend on Mondays, and fathers attend on Tuesdays.
*For LGBTQ+ couples or parents who do not identify with the terms “mother” or “father,” we are committed to providing a respectful and supportive experience. Please consult with your assigned family systems therapist to determine which group will best meet your needs. In some cases, both parents may attend the same group based on clinical guidance.
