About Me

Jenny Nichols believes that real change happens when you're willing to put in the work—and she’s here to help you do just that. As a master’s level intern in Marriage and Family Therapy, she is dedicated to guiding individuals, couples, and families through the challenges of life with honesty, insight, and a no-nonsense approach. She’s warm and compassionate, but she also believes in pushing her clients to grow beyond their comfort zones in meaningful ways.

Jenny’s approach is direct, practical, and rooted in real-world experience. She has worked extensively in mental health and recovery, serving as a group leader and recovery coach, helping individuals navigate life's daily challenges. With a background in family science, she understands the complexities of relationships, parenting, and stepfamily dynamics firsthand. Whether you’re navigating co-parenting challenges, substance use recovery, or just trying to untangle the chaos of everyday life, Jenny brings a sharp, solution-focused mindset to every session.

With interests in EFT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and CBT, Jenny believes in equipping her clients with practical skills to improve their lives—not just in therapy, but in the real world. Her background in crisis intervention, emotional intelligence coaching, and family systems makes her a powerhouse therapist-in-training.

Jenny is currently obtaining her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and has already earned an Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counseling Certificate (ASUDC). She’s also trained in domestic violence intervention, suicide prevention (CSSRS), and first aid/CPR. Her research on treatment in the prison system was recognized at the Utah Valley University Mental Health Conference in 2023, highlighting her passion for systemic change in mental health care.

When she’s not in the therapy office, you can probably find Jenny in the gym—her past life as a personal trainer means she understands the mind-body connection and the power of discipline. She’s tough, compassionate, and committed to helping you put in the work for lasting transformation.
