About Me
I believe real change happens when you’re willing to put in the work—and I’m here to help you do just that. I’m a master’s level intern in Marriage and Family Therapy, and I work with individuals, couples, and families who are ready for honest, meaningful growth.
My style is warm and compassionate, but also direct and grounded. I believe in supporting you while also challenging you to move beyond your comfort zone in ways that lead to lasting change.
My Approach
My approach is practical, solution-focused, and rooted in real-world experience. I’ve worked extensively in mental health and recovery as a group leader and recovery coach, helping individuals navigate the challenges of daily life. With a background in family science, I understand firsthand the complexities of relationships, parenting, and stepfamily dynamics.
Whether you’re navigating co-parenting challenges, substance use recovery, or feeling overwhelmed by the chaos of everyday life, I bring clarity, structure, and a no-nonsense mindset into our work together.
Therapeutic Modalities
I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Narrative TherapySolution-Focused Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
My goal is to equip you with practical skills you can apply not just in therapy, but in your real, everyday life. My training in crisis intervention, emotional intelligence coaching, and family systems allows me to support clients through both immediate challenges and long-term growth.
What You Can Expect
I’m currently earning my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and have completed an Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counseling Certificate (ASUDC). I’m also trained in domestic violence intervention, suicide prevention (C-SSRS), and First Aid/CPR. My research on treatment in the prison system was recognized at the Utah Valley University Mental Health Conference in 2023, reflecting my commitment to systemic change in mental health care.
Outside of the therapy office, you’ll often find me in the gym. My background as a personal trainer deeply informs my understanding of the mind-body connection and the role discipline plays in emotional and mental health. I bring that same balance of toughness and compassion into my work with clients.
Moving Forward
I’m committed to helping you do the work that leads to real, sustainable transformation. If you’re looking for a therapist who will support you, challenge you, and walk alongside you as you grow, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.
