About Me
If you’re looking for a therapist who understands resilience, meets you with compassion, and brings years of experience working with women and children, I would be honored to support you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a deep passion for helping individuals and families navigate life’s toughest moments.
Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients through challenges such as chronic illness, grief and loss, parenthood, and mental health struggles. As a cancer survivor, I understand firsthand the emotional and psychological toll that difficult diagnoses can take, and I’m committed to walking alongside others as they move toward strength and healing.
My Approach
I bring a broad and well-rounded perspective to therapy, shaped by my work in schools (elementary and junior high), hospitals, and crisis intervention settings. This experience allows me to support clients across all stages of life and during moments of both transition and crisis.
I utilize a variety of approaches depending on each client’s needs, including play therapy for children, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, and support for individuals navigating medication-related concerns. From crisis intervention in emergency rooms to one-on-one therapy in school settings, I’ve had the privilege of helping clients find hope even in their darkest moments.
Therapeutic Focus & Experience
In addition to my clinical work, I am a speaker and educator. I presented at the 2023 Critical Issues Conference on challenges facing children and adolescents, and I currently teach weekly classes with the Chainbreaker Foundation, helping to break cycles of abuse through education and support.
I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Utah, and my work is rooted in advocacy, education, and compassionate care.
What You Can Expect
Whether I’m working with a child processing big emotions, a woman navigating life transitions, or a family in crisis, my goal is always the same: to provide unwavering support, expert guidance, and a clear path toward healing.
Clients often describe me as compassionate, steady, and deeply committed to those I serve. One client shared:“Highly recommend Melinda Chamberlain. She is incredible!”
Moving Forward
I believe healing happens when you feel supported, understood, and empowered. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward hope, resilience, and meaningful change.
