About Me

If you’re looking for a therapist who understands resilience, meets you with compassion, and brings years of experience working with women and children—Melinda Chamberlain is exactly that person.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passion for helping others navigate life’s toughest moments, Melinda has spent her career supporting clients through challenges like chronic illness, grief, loss, parenthood, and mental health struggles. As a cancer survivor herself, she deeply understands the emotional and psychological toll of difficult diagnoses and is dedicated to guiding others toward strength and healing.

Melinda’s background is as diverse as the clients she serves. She has worked in schools (both elementary and junior high), hospitals, and crisis intervention settings, giving her a well-rounded perspective on mental health at every stage of life. Her expertise includes play therapy for children, DBT therapy for emotional regulation, and helping individuals understand and navigate their medication needs. From crisis intervention in emergency rooms to one-on-one therapy in schools, she has helped countless individuals find hope in even the darkest times.

In addition to her clinical work, Melinda is a speaker and educator. She presented at the 2023 Critical Issues Conference on challenges facing children and adolescents and teaches weekly classes with the Chainbreaker Foundation, helping to break the cycle of abuse through education and support. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Utah and has dedicated her career to lifting others up through knowledge, advocacy, and therapy.

What do people say about Melinda? Simply put: "Highly recommend Melinda Chamberlain. She is incredible!" – Kerri Murdock

Whether she’s working with a child processing big emotions, a woman navigating life transitions, or a family in crisis, Melinda’s goal remains the same: to provide unwavering support, expert guidance, and a path toward healing.
